TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Routes Of Entry: Inhalation,
ingestion, absorption through skin and eyes. Effects of
Acute Exposure: Death if inhaled or absorbed; severe eye
irritation and burns; allergic dermatitis, skin burns;
bronchitis, pulmonary oedema; headache, dizziness, nausea,
vomiting; abdominal pain; blindness. Effects of Chronic
Exposure: Nasal cancer, respiratory tract irritation;
reproductive disorders, asthma, dermatitis; multiple organ
damage.
SECTION 7 – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Protective Clothing & PPE: Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves, and an
acid suit.
Handling Procedures: Handling procedures
Store in a cool place away from heated areas, sparks, and
flame. Store in a well ventilated area. Store away from
incompatible materials. Do not add any other material to the
container. Do not wash down the drain. Do not breathe
gas/fumes/vapor/spray. In case of insufficient ventilation,
wear suitable respiratory equipment. Keep container tightly
closed. Manipulate under an adequate fume hood. Take
precautionary measures against electrostatic discharges.
Ground the container while dispensing. Ground all equipment
containing material. Use only explosion proof equipment. Use
non-sparking tools. Watch for accumulation in low confined
areas. Do not use pressure to dispense. Storage temperature
depends on methanol content and should be controlled to
avoid precipitation or vaporization. Handle and open
container with care. Take off immediately all contaminated
clothing. This product must be manipulated by qualified
personnel. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash
well after use. In accordance with good storage and handling
practices. Do not allow smoking and food consumption while
handling.
Ventilation: Provide adequate general and
local exhaust ventilation to meet suggested control value
requirements.
Respiratory Protection: Use MSHA-NIOSH
approved respirator for dusts, mists and fumes whose TLV is
greater than 0.05 mg/m3.
Eye Protection: Safety
glasses with side shields. Contact lenses should not be worn
when working with this product.

SECTION 7 -
SPILL, LEAK, AND DISPOSAL INFORMATION
In Case Of
Spill or Release of Product: Absorb spill with sand or clay
then place in air-tight container for disposal. Remove
container outside to a cool shaded area. Wash area
thoroughly with mild soap and water but do not allow to
enter city sewer system via drain. Do not store material
after clean-up near sparks or heat.
Container
Disposal: Do not reuse empty container. Dispose of normal
waste removal methods.
SECTION 8 – FIRST AID MEASURES
General: Always seek immediate medical attention with
this product no matter if inhaled, ingested or contact with
eyes or skin. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Ingestion: If conscious, wash out mouth with water. DO
NOT induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention.
Severe irritant and inflammation of the mouth, throat and
stomach. Severe abdominal pains and potential loss of
conscience.
Eye Contact: Severe eye irritant and to
mucous membranes. Seek immediate first aid to prevent eye
damage. IMMEDIATELY flush eyes with large quantities of
water for a minimum of 30 minutes. Hold eye-lids apart to
make sure entire are is cleaned. Seek immediate medical
attention. DO NOT use eye ointment.
Skin Contact:
Severe irritant to skin and mucous membranes. Immediate
first aid is needed to prevent skin damage. Immediately
flush skin with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes
while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Seek
immediate medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing
separately and thoroughly before reuse.
Serious
Inhalation: Allow the victim to rest in a well ventilated
area. Immediately remove patient to fresh air. Administer
approved oxygen supply if breathing is difficult. Administer
artificial respiration or CPR if breathing has stopped. Seek
immediate medical attention.
Potential Chronic Health
Effects: CARCINOGENIC EFFECTS: Not available. MUTAGENIC
EFFECTS: Not available. TERATOGENIC EFFECTS: Not available.
DEVELOPMENTAL TOXICITY: Not available. Repeated exposure to
any highly toxic material may produce general deterioration
of health by an accumulation in one or many human organs.
Potential Acute Health Effects: Hazardous in case of
ingestion. Slightly hazardous in case of skin contact
(irritant, permeator), of eye contact (irritant), of
inhalation. Severe over-exposure can result in death.
Skin: Wash material off the skin with water and soap. If
redness, itching or a burning sensation develops, get
medical attention.
Eyes: Immediately flush with
copious amounts of water. If redness, itching or a burning
sensation develops, have eyes examined and treated by
medical personnel.
Ingestion: Give one or two glasses
of water to drink. If gastrointestinal symptoms develop,
consult medical personnel. (Never give anything by mouth to
an unconscious person.)
Inhalation: Remove victim to
fresh air. If cough or other respiratory symptoms develop,
consult medical personnel. Loosen an tight clothing,
collars, belts, ties.
